Day 9

Today was a real good day.  We can surely see Kim on the mend now.  This morning when we came, she had a lot of discomfort and pain.  The doctors again changed her pain meds for her, and almost immediately we noticed a change!  She was much more comfortable and even her physio wasn't too painful for her.  She was sitting today for the first time, in a huge "lazyboy" chair for about 1 1/2 hours, but was relieved to lie flat again.  This afternoon, she went for another ultrasound on her legs, watching for clots, but all came back negative.  Great news.

After that, she had a good afternoon, back to being her usual self.  No pain, and still her sense of humor is there.  Her oxygen was also taken off this afternoon.  All she has now, is an intervenous hookup.
The doctors even had to force her to take her pain meds this afternoon, otherwise she would regret it later.
Tonight, just before we left, her neurologist came to check on her balance and coordination, due to her strokes.  Her left arm was off slightly, but the doctor figures that will all come back in due time.

Tomorrow, is Kim's birthday, and all she wishes is to come home. As much as she loves her company, we do have to remember, to keep it to a minimum for her best interests.

It's been just over a week now, and look at her improvement.  How blessed we are!  Please continue to pray for her strength and healing.
