Wow, 2 whole years has now past! And here we are again!
Again today, we spent the entire day at the Trafalgar/Oakville Hospital, for yet another surgery. Earlier this year, Kim had surgery on her hip to remove a pocket of tissue/fluid from her left side, as a result of her seatbelt. Bad news...it didn't work! So today, she had it done again, in another procedure. Hoping this one will have a better outcome! Let's just say the doctor (the same one) sounded more positive with this one. She also got her thigh tuck done, which was supposed to be another surgery, if needed, but managed to get that taken care of too.
She is still looking to one more surgery. There is constant swelling of her ankle on her left leg, so anytime, at her convenience (probably some time next summer) she can book that surgery to remove the screws that were put in her knee and ankle, to keep the rod from her knee down to her ankle in place.
Kim also has chiropractor appointments twice a week, an hour massage on her back and neck, as well as reflexology for an hour on her ankle, weekly.
She also had to change her carreer, so now she is in school for another 2 years, taking Medical Office Administration. Loads of homework and two afternoons of appointments keeps her schedule busy. Now she is off for her Christmas break, recooperating from her surgery.
Again, another whole year later, she has come a whole long way, but still has more to go. Once again, we continue to pray to her Great Physician for healing, patience, and perseverance from day to day.
